Darwin looks good
There are a few key considerations that make Darwin worth considering for a medium term investment. First and foremost is it’s proximity to Asia. Unlike other capital cities prices have been remarkably stable since the pre-GFC peak. Probably because prices never reached the “frothy” extremes of the southern states. There is no excess stock in the apartment sector and population growth has led to rental shortages that will underpin prices. We expect to see the benefits of the mining boom be reinvested into the Darwin market.
Why wait, Darwin looks a very secure medium term investment.
